Interim Data Steward (KYC) Wanted! | Start in January 2026 | 36–40 hours per week | Hybrid work possible | 6 months + extension option | Utrecht region

For a direct end client in the Utrecht region, we are looking for a hands-on Interim Data Steward focused on KYC data definitions and data quality. The data governance framework is mainly in place; your job is to execute and document clearly within the existing setup.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain clear KYC data definitions and documentation.
  • Guard consistency and quality of KYC data across key processes (onboarding, periodic review, monitoring).
  • Log, analyse and follow up KYC data issues together with operations and compliance stakeholders.
  • Support dashboards and reporting by supplying correct datasets, definitions and basic lineage information.

Requirements

  • 3 years’ experience in data stewardship / data quality / data analysis, within KYC / AML / Financial Crime.
  • Strong in structuring and documenting: able to translate KYC processes into practical data definitions.
  • Experience with SQL and working in a modern data environment (e.g. Azure / Databricks or similar).
  • Hands-on, focused and calm: you deliver within existing frameworks rather than redesigning them.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

De voorwaarden

The client is looking for an interim Data Steward with KYC experience. You will start in January for 36–40 hours per week. Hybrid working is possible and the duration of the assignments is 6 months with an option to extend.
